What is the MC2? The Merchant Companion 2 is the descendent of our earlier MC Lite. The MC2 is a complete store and order management system for online stores, and in particular, Miva Merchant-based stores. Worrying about the steap learning curves of a management system is a major problem, and we take it seriously. This is apparent in the MC2 interface, which can be seen in the MC2 Tour. We designed the MC2 along with an actual retail store, so every feature in the MC2 was determined to be necessary and designed with real-life needs in mind. Rarely is the opportunity to develop and design a solution in the midst of actual real-world use available. Download orders directly from your Miva store. Modify and process orders using fine-grain user security access rights. Generate custom invoices and packing slips to show your professionalism to your clients. Use the MC2's built-in email accounts, templates, and fully-featured email client to manage correspondence between your staff and your valuable customer base. Real features designed by real store-owners and software engineers make up the MC2 software. How Does It Plug-In With Miva? The Merchant Companion 2 was created to harness all of Miva Merchant's features. Using our own secure download script, the MC2 will connect directly to you Miva Store via a secure 128-bit SSL connection. It is only through this connection that order information is transmitted. The MC2 can help you create daily batches and download orders quickly, easily, and securely. What About My Miva Modules? The Merchant Companion 2 will work alongside your existing Miva modules. Any special fields inserted into the Miva database by third-party modules will also be downloaded and stored in MC2's accessible and editable per-order special fields database. What About Stock and Inventory? MC2 developers are hard at work on the new inventory control system. While allowing you to manage stock and individual item tracking within your inventory base, you will also have the luxury of uploading real-time stock information back to your Miva store.
